I read this back in for Jade’s first Polarthon this year, and I had so much fun! The premise of this novel was so intriguing and I was hooked from the moment I started reading. I’m not sure I have a favourite character, but I enjoyed the way that Tem and Kamzin’s friendship was explored, and the build up her relationship with River, who I found very mysterious from the moment he was introduced. The atmosphere was definitely there in a number of scenes that I thought were written really well but I didn’t feel it throughout. There were also parts of the story as I read that didn’t quite make sense and could maybe have been written differently, and sometimes the logic felt a little week – regardless of this, I thoroughly enjoyed reading this.

If you have read this yourself what were your thoughts? Please be polite in your comments :).

You have wings. Believe in them and yourself, and you will fly.
