Title: The Christmasaurus: The Musical Edition
Author: Tom Fletcher
Publisher: Puffin Books
I read one of Tom’s other middle-grade novels, The Creakers, earlier this year and loved it and, in the run-up to Christmas I thought it only fitting that I “picked” this one up. Like the previous book I adored this; I loved the characters (some more than others at the start, though that changed by the end of it), the Christmasaurus sounded adorable – the narrator, Paul Shelley, did a really great job! The atmosphere was also definitely there for me, enhanced by Shelley’s narration. Like with most books that I fall in love with, it was almost like a film was playing out in my head or before my eyes – but it was even more vivid this time because it was an audiobook which is a totally different experience and Shelley was just so good!
I also loved the musical element of it; singing along when a song came on at the end of or part way through a chapter – I think my favourite is Heights which is just sung by Tom, but all the songs were awesome.
Have you read or listened to The Christmasaurus: The Musical Edition – or the normal version- yourself, and if so what did you think? (Please keep comments respectful and polite – any rude ones will be deleted)
