Title: Siege and Sacrifice (Numina #3)
Author: Charlie N. Holmerg
Publisher: 47th North (Amazon Imprint)
COWWT: 25/25 (5/5)
Characters: 5
I loved meeting the characters I’ve adored since the first book again, and meeting the new ones – and I loved the character development, too.
Ooh! Factor: 5
There is so much in this book that made me gasp, growl with anger, cry – pretty much everything I felt in the last two books, but much much more.
Writing Style: 5
Amazing, Charlie N. Holmberg writes so well! She writes in such a way that within two or three pages I’m already immersed in the story – I never have to look back through pages, instead I’m spurred to read further and further, to see what happens next.
World Building: 5
I can’t – I can’t put into words the world building in this novel, and the ones before it. The detail- and the attention to detail in the building of this world so similar to our own, and yet made different with the amazing descriptions of various places by the author throughout the novel lets you lose yourself in it; escaping from reality into the world of the Numina trilogy.
Tone: 5
Oh boy…the tone, it shifted so often, so subtly that I didn’t even notice – but the changing tone, I think, is part of pulls me into and through each chapter.
If you’ve read this series, what are your own thoughts?
You have wings. Believe in them and yourself, and you will fly.
Kath xoxo
