Title: Sorcery of Thorns
Author: Margaret Rogerson
Publisher: McElderry Books
COWWT: 25/25 (5 Stars)
Characters: 5
I loved Elisabeth and Nathaniel (swoon!) and developed a soft spot for Silas, who is much kinder than he makes himself out to be. However I did not like the chancellor at all, I thought he was a rather….slippery character.
Ooh! Factor: 5
Oh there was so much ooh! Factor in this book! So many things throughout the book elicited a reaction from me: gasps of shock or anger, frowns, tears, laughter.
Writing Style: 5
This books was so well written. It’s easy to follow and flowed well, I was hooked on every page and didn’t have to flick at any point because I felt like I’d missed something.
World Building: 5
OMG the world building in this book! Everything was so detailed: the library descriptions were amazing, the world was captivating and the map really helped give a sense of place as I read.
Tone: 5
There only emotions I felt really strongly as I read, were longing, fear, desperation and love though I won’t go into detail about why I felt these particular emotions as I read.
