Read: 5th – 13th July
My Rating: * * * *
I don’t read a lot of Thrillers as they – like Horrors which I generally steer clear of – tend to give me nightmares, but this one wasn’t like that; I enjoyed reading it Immensely. The main character, Arthur Bowman, I liked because he was so determined and goal driven if a little damaged from his past and a tad aggressive at times.
The story kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time, though I wasn’t really surprised by the ending as I was kind of expecting it. I’ve not read many books translated from another language ( I think it’s only the third or fourth) but Retribution has become one of my favourite reads.
Another one of my shorter reviews, but it’s hard to say everything I’m thinking without some books without giving all the important and exciting bits away haha.
Stay true to yourself, and never let anyone deter you from the course you wish to take.
