Read: 13th – 21st February
My Rating: 4 Stars
Quick note: I spotted this book on my parents’ bookshelf in our living room (though I’d say it’s more Mum’s shelf than it is Dad’s haha). It was published way back near the end of the 90s, and I think views on women travelling on their own were different back then (if you an older reader of my blog, please do correct me if I’m wrong about this fact).
I found this book inspiring and I loved the fact that each “chapter” is written by a different woman who’s gone on a personal journey & adventure all on their own, and some of their adventures sounded amazing but also a bit scary at the same time, I loved reading them all. This is over 20 years old, but I don’t think the message it gives to all women and girls is any different than it was back then.
You can do anything you set your mind to, and you can do it on your own.
I love reading about travel, and travelling, which is why I gave this a 4 star rating.
