Cinder by Marissa Meyer

Read: February 6th – 8th

My Rating: 5 Stars

I don’t know why I didn’t pick this novel up sooner! It was awesome!

I loved that it was split into “Books” that had quotes from the original fairy tale…and also grew a certain hunch as the story progressed ;). I also loved that it was a sci-fi (though it also had fantasy vibes for me) set primarily in a futuristic Beijing, known now as New Beijing, and also a few of the names like Peony, and Kaito(or Kai), and Cinder herself as well as her android’s name, Iko

As I continued through the story, I developed a soft spot for Cinder as well as  Iko – and felt sorry for her , as well as anger at the horrid treatment she receives at the hands of her stepmother and other stepsister Pearl (though, I’d say I hate Pearl more than Adri), and inwardly cheered at every triumph she had.

I cannot wait to pick up the next book!

Stay true to yourself, and don’t ever let anyone deter you from the course you wish to take.

Love you guys

Kath xoxo
