I found The Unexpected Truth About Animals very informative and enjoyed learning about the animals she covered very much, especially the myths and misconceptions about them; I’ve always loved animals. Some of the things she spoke about were rather amusing and made me smile or laugh, some made me wince, cringe, or raise my eyebrows, while others made me wrinkle my nose and say, “that’s disgusting!” out-loud – seriously, some of the stuff that the specific animals she talks about do, are worthy of that spoken thought.
I did notice one teeny-tiny error in the book, though I will be keeping that part of my review to myself 😉.
Rated it: 3 stars
This is because I found the chapters lengthy and took me a while to read – though this is not a jab at the author, I just seem to be slower at reading non-fiction than I am at reading my favourite genre of fantasy…though I couldn’t pinpoint the reason for this odd fact.
Stay true to yourself, and don’t ever let anyone deter you from the course you wish to take.
