The Shadow Queen by CJ Redwine Review

Totally. Fell in love. With this book.

This is probably the first Snow White re-telling that I’ve read –  though I’ve seen a few movie re-tellings.

I loved Lorelai: she is one of those brave, independent, swashbuckling princesses who does everything in her power to protect those she loves, and is also a powerful enchantress. I also loved the fact that the magical system(the words used as Incantors) uses Russian origins – as do a few of the names I think

I’ll admit, I cried a bit while reading this – but also giggled a lot too.

There were things I sort of knew were going to happen, because of events and/or conversations that had already transpired, but I enjoyed reading them all the same.

Stay true to yourself, and don’t ever let anyone deter you from the course you wish to take.
