I’m not overly familiar with Anne Rice’s work – but after reading Prince Lestat and The Realms of Atlantis I am eager to read Prince Lestat and The Vampire Chronicles: meaning I loved this one a lot haha.
I loved the chapter “A Brief History of The Vampires: Blood Genesis” as it gave me an introduction into Prince Lestat’s world, and “Blood Argot”, which includes terms/definitions used by the Undead in Rice’s vampire world.
I also loved most of the characters, including the title character Lestat, and his Fledgling Louis (I won’t explain the terms I mention, a sit may ruin it for those who haven’t read this book), liked the writing style and the fact it was set in modern times, and as with Moon Chosen by P.C Cast, loved the fact that some of those coupled within the story were of the same gender: Fledgling and Maker, or otherwise.
This has quite possibly become my favourite vampire related fantasy novel/ series ever!
Stay true to yourself, and don’t ever let anyone deter you from the course you wish to take.
Kath xoxo
