Stormswept by Helen Dunmore Review

I know I say this a lot, but I absolutely loved reading Stormswept. I started it today, and I’ve already finished it!

As with the other four novels in the INGO series( though, it is a stand-alone novel), Stormswept captured my attention, and my heart, from the very first line and the very first page; I couldn’t- and didn’t want to- put it down, and only did so when it was time for dinner.

I’m sure there will be a few INGO readers, who have also read Stormswept, who agree that Sapphy and Conor,  and Morveren and Jenna,  are very similar. Sapphy and Moreveren are attracted to the sea and love to be near it (and Ingo), whereas Conor and Jenna are more wary of it and prefer Earth and Air. If Stormswept wasn’t a stand-alone, you’d think these characters were distantly related- though perhaps they are? If you have any thoughts on this feel free to leave a comment, or contact me via the means on my Get In Touch page.

Stay true to yourself. Don’t ever let anyone deter you from the course you wish to take.

Kath xoxo
