NIMONA and Unfiltered, No Shame, No Regrets, Just Me Book Reviews

Two reviews in this one (aren’t you guys lucky?), which I thought was fitting because I read them both in one day.

First up, NIMONA!

NIMONA I picked this up – that is to say, I ordered it off Amazon- after watching Jadeyraereads do a “Book Babble” on it over on her YouTube channel – go check her out; , she usually uploads on Wednesdays and Sundays, and if you like any videos you watch don’t be afraid to leave a comment because she’ll more often than not reply to you, and is a lovely person if you ever meet her face-to-face.

Oh. My. Gosh. I was hooked from the first glossy, beautifully illustrated page. I loved the story, and I loved the characters- apart from Ambrosius (Sir Goldenloin) and the Director of Law Enforcement and Heroics- especially the star, Nimona.

This has become my favourite graphic novel to date!

Now, onto Unfiltered!

Lily Collins book

Lily Collins has been one of my favourite female actors, ever since I first saw her in The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones, and is one of the strong successful women that I look up to despite being less than ten years older than myself.

From page one I was immersed in her words, and couldn’t put it down; it was like I was sitting in front of her, listening to her tell me about her life.  I learned a lot about her as a person, away from the actor I’ve come to love; the hardships and struggles that she has faced and recovered – and is still recovering from-, the love she has for her mother and the relationship they have , and the adventures they’ve been on together, and various other things that kept me turning each page until I reached the end, and having read it, I feel like I’ve made a new friend.

Stay True To Yourself.

Kath xoxo

See you next time!
