Harry Potter: Half Blood Prince and The Deathly Hallows

I’ve finally read all of the Harry Potter books one after the other, which is hard for me to do as I tend to read different books between those of the same series, but here are my reviews for the last two books. Enjoy!

Harry Potter and The Half-Blood Prince

J.K. Rowling  had me hooked  the whole way through this one; making me laugh and cry at various stages throughout. In my opinion, there are a few key things in the novel that have been carried into the movie i.e. parts of the wedding, Dumbledore and Harry’s visit to the cave, though a lot of the book is not in the movie, presumably for timing reasons so that the movie was not insanely long. Although I loved the whole novel, some parts of it confused me a little, though I can’t put my finger on anything specific.

I thought the last novel of the series started off well, as the first chapter was quite gripping and kept my attention the whole way through; I would read it for hours on end when I wasn’t doing college work.

Was probably one of my favourite books from the H.P series, maybe because I like long books as I have lots to read.

I would like to end this post by saying that while I like the films, I much prefer the books.

If you have read the books and seen the movies, which do you prefer? Let me know in the comments below, I’d love to know what you guys think.

Until my next post my lovelies
